Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life - For those who cannot get away for an extended period of time in a retreat house, this is an opportunity to make the full Ignatian Exercises in the midst of your regular routine. You will pray for at least one hour per day over a period of roughly thirty weeks. You will be assigned a retreat director whom you will meet with on a weekly basis at a time that is convenient for both of you. Your director will assign you prayer material and you will process your experience of God in prayer with your director in one-to-one meetings. The cost of the retreat is $100 per month or whatever you can afford. Please contact one of the Lanteri Center staff at 303-927-8065 to make an appointment in order to see if this retreat would be beneficial to you.
December 3, 2011 - An Advent Day of Prayer with Fr. Bill Neubecker, OMV. An excellent opportunity to prepare the way of the Lord and welcome Him in His coming as Savior. As a preparation for the celebration of Christmas, Fr. Bill will offer it as an occasion to celebrate the birth of the Lord with greater peace and joy in these troubled times. Fr. Bill Neubecker joined the Oblates of the Virgin Mary in September, 1972. After ordination to the priesthood in 1979, he was sent to the Oblate missions in Brazil. He now returns after 33 years of ministry there.
February 19 - April 1, 2012 Armchair Retreat, "In you own home or apartment." This will be an opportunity to learn to pray with the Word of God with the guidance of a spiritual director, and to live a short experience of spiritual direction. You will be asked to commit yourself seriously to praying with the Word of God for 30 minutes each day for a six-week period. You will then meet with your personal spiritual director once a week during this period of time.
The retreat will begin with a group meeting, which must be attended, at 1:30 PM, on Sunday, February 19 at the Lanteri Center and will conclude on Passion Sunday, April 1, 2012. You must sign up before February 12, 2012. Space is limited! Call, e-mail or write to us with your name, address, phone number and email address. You will be asked a few questions and a short interview on the phone will be in order to help determine whether this retreat would be beneficial for you.
March 9-11, 2012 - “A Walk through the Spiritual Exercises” of Saint Ignatius Loyola with Fr. Larry Gillick, SJ of Creighton University. This weekend workshop is designed for all those who lead others in the full Exercises, either in the 30-day and/or 19th annotation formats. The weekend will take place at the Lanteri Center for Ignatian Spirituality March 9-11, 2012. Father Larry will address the following questions:
- Some reflections concerning the annotations and additions from the Exercises.
- The role of the director and what does ‘the director’ mean?
- What is involved in the grace of the 1st week? What is the director looking for?
- Ignatian contemplation, a projective technique, usng the power of the imagination – making things real.
- The 3rd and 4th weeks in relationship to Ignatian discernment

April 27-29, 2012 Three-Day Ignatian Silent Retreat according to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius at St. Walburga Abbey, Virginia Dale, CO. You will be accompanied by a personal spiritual director. The retreat will begin at 7:00 PM on Friday evening with a opening meeting and a guided meditation to lauch you into prayer. You will then meet with your director on each of the subsequent days and he/she will suggest themes for prayer and help you to process your experience of God in prayer. Mass and reconciliation will be available on Saturday and Sunday. Accomodations and meals will be provided by the Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburga. September 7-17, 2012 8-day Ignatian Retreat in Crestone, Colorado. Experience the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola with the spiritual directors of the Lanteri Center during an eight-day retreat at the Nada Hermitage in Crestone, CO. During this individualized, directed retreat you will meet with your spiritual director once a day to explore your unique experience of God's presence in your prayer, reflection, discernment, reading and the simple silence of your solitude. Mass, Reconciliation and brief talks will be offered daily in the chapel. Cost: $525
